Christmas cards and double slider gift card holders

Hello everyone.

I made these Christmas cards and double slider gift card holders a while back, I just haven`t had the time to post them here. I love how they turned out and the colors are so elegant and beautiful together.

I went stash diving when making these cards. I love the beautiful grey, red and off-white paper from Riddersholm, I kind of hoped I could get a few sheets more, but no such luck. The Christmas sprig and the red flowers from WOC just made these projects come really nicely together.

I used the biggest circle from Spellbinder Royal circle die set and popped up for some dimension and the sentiment stamp is a Norwegian Christmas stamp.

The gift card got a "to and from" stamp at the back and a small Christmas sentiment on one of the sliding card panels. I followed the same tutorial that I did with my Foxy latte coffe gift card.

Sympathy card

Hi everyone,

Our summer weeks inspiration is over at the Copic Marker Norway challenge blog, and we are back to our regular schedule. Our first challenge theme is " Milestones in life". We may often think of weddings, baptismn or other big and happy events like birthdays a.s.o, but since my family unfortunately had the loss of an uncle of mine recently I decided to make a condolence card.

I went with a mini slimline card, and this is a card size I love to do. These beautiful flowers are a digital stamp from Alex Syberia called Fabulous floral slimline card panel. I decided to print out the stamp in its original slimline size, but only use part of the image fussy cutting out two of the flowers.

I colored up this image with my Copics using BG 78-75-72-70 and going blending tip to tip between the gap of BG72 to BG 70 as the last color is so much lighter.

I used a light grey wooden pattern paper under the flowers that I popped up on dimension tape to add some interest to my card. I stamped the word condolences on vellum paper and added some clear crystal bling to my card. For the flower centers I decided to go with Black diamond Stickles from Ranger to add some elegance and also to pick up the black from my card stock panel.

On the inside I stamped a very sweet norwegian message translating ruffely into " Life will never be the same after a drear smil fades away"

I`m really happy with how this card came together and I wish the pictures would make this card justice.

Foxy Latte Coffee - Double slider gift card

Hi everyone,

Today I have a fun double slider gift card to share with you for the Polkadoodles challenge blog. You pull on the ribbon /string, and both the slider panels slide out at the same time. Fun and super cute. I have made the same slider card for my son to bring to birthdays for his friends at school, making a band to slide money into instead of a gift card, letting him color the digi image for a more personal gift.

I have colored up the adorable Foxy latte coffee that I fussy cut and popped on to my slider card front. The papers I used are from the Autumn fall pattern papers 2. I love all the fall colors and the season we are getting into.

For the sentiment on the bottom panel, I used a sentiment from the Serenity Fairy Wishes Sentiments

Copics colors I used to color up this cute little fox:

Fur: E08, YR12-14-18 and E000, R11-20 ears and cheeks
Hat: YG91-93-95-97-99
Straw: B93-95-97 and W0-1

To make my Double slider gift card I followed a tutorial on YT from The Paper Pixie.

Besties - Fun fold featuring the Ruby collection

 Hi everyone,

It`s time for a new challenge over at the Polkadoodles challenge blog and I`m excited to share my card with you today. The DT inspirational theme for this weeks challenge was friendship using images from the Ruby collection. The timing for this theme came perfect for me since one of my closest friend is born in August.

For my card I used two images from the Ruby collection, flipping one of them so the direction of the girls standing together came out right. I placed one of the images slightly overlapping the dress of the other to make it more natural looking and more pleasing to the eye. The digistamps I used are Ruby Oo-la-la and Ruby Frou Frou and as usual I colored them up with my Copic markers.

Copic colores I used, listed from light to dark:

Ruby Oo-la-la:

Skin: E000-00-21-11-04, R20

Hair E21-25-49

Outfit: BG10-11-13-49   (I went lightly over with BG 70-72 to mute down the color)

           RV32-34

Ruby Frou Frou:

Skin: E000-00-21-11-13-04, R20, RV42

Hair: 53-43-57-59-49

Outfit: B32-34-99-39

           RV32-34

I made my card into a pop up Z- flod card and at the pop up I used the sentiment Besties that`s from the Winny daisy sentimet bundle. Perfect for my card!

I hope you liked my card and that you got inspired to create yourself a happy day crafting too.

Why don`t you head on over and join in on the fun over at the Polkadoodles challenge blog this week. Thank you for stopping by.

LIVE- Mixed media canvas with Copic

 Hi everyone.

Today is my last day of my summer inspiration week over at the Copic Marker Norway. This time I created a mixed media canvas using a big Copic colored image as my focal point. I love to play around like this mixing the best of two worlds, Copic coloring and playing around with mixed media. Dont forget to pop over to our Facebook group Copic Norge to share your Copic coloring.

My canvas is 25*20 cm and my image from Mariola Budek Art Perl in Roses is printed at around 20/21 cm in height. For my background I used Tim Holtz Distress oxide sprays in Speckled egg, Stormy sky and Vintage photo. Next, I stamped randomly around the edges of my canvas with a crackled background stamp from Stamperia and the script stamp with the little post circle stamp saying Oslo from Inkado is a favourite.

Then I added Finnabair modeling paste on a script stencil and I also used Finnabair 3D matt clear on a Prima square stencil to add some subtle different textures and interest to my background.

I glued on some cheesecloth before gluing down my image backed with thick cardboard to give it some dimension. Then I glued on some Prima flowers and some Finnabair metal leaves. The lightbulb from Tim Holtz with the sentiment "Live" became my title for this canvas, and I just love how it came together at the end. To finish my canvas I glued on some flat back pearls in different sized and splattered with some white gesso.

Copic Colors used:

Skin: E04-11-21-00-000 R20
Mouth: E04-20
Hair: E29-57-25-21-50
then, not beeing too happy with how it looked, I went over with E49-59-53-51
Animalskull: T7, E44-43-42-41, W5-1-0
Pearl: C5-3-1
Flowers: R89-85-83-81
Leaves :G99-94-21, YG23
I colored the eyebrows and eyes with pencils

I added some highlight with a white gel pen, and I also added some clear Wink of Stelle to the pearl necklace and to some of the canine teeth.

The Mermaid`s greeting

 Hi,

Today I`m sharing my second inspiration card over at the Copic Marker Norway blog.

Summer is slowly going to an end where here where I live, so I wanted to make a really summery card holding on to that summer feeling as long as possible. And what better image to use than a mermaid creating that under the sea vibe to achieve that.

The image is from Aurora Wings, Starfish mermaid, and I used the Mermaids lagoon background set from Sweet November Stamp but you can only see it at the top corner after I changed my mind on the card design having to cut most of it off.

Copic colors used:

Skin: E000-00-21-11-04
Hair: B12-14-24-18-39
Starfish and pearls: Y02-35, YR14-27 and I think E15
Coral: V01-04-09
(I got a little ink blob at her skin, but I camouflaged it with a little pearl. Shhh.. It`s our little secret.. 😉)
Seashell: E01-E41, E15
Plants: BG70-72-78 og  BG39
Background: B41, BG0000, 0 (blender)

Love you mostest - Wedding card

 Hi everyone,

This week it`s my turn to give you some inspiration over at the Copic Marker Norway blog, and you can find my blog post here.. You can find the Copic markers I used on this image listed there.

My first card is a wedding card using Tiddlyinks "Love you mostest" digistamp. You get two different versions of this image, one with and one without the flowers. As you can see, I went with the one with flowers as I wanted to pull in some of the colors and elements of the beautiful flowers on this beautiful pattern paper from Maja design.  Since the backside had this very subtle word happiness written on it, I made sure to cut my panel so I could use this as a subtle title to my card.

I looked through my stuff and I actually don`t own a single stamp or die that is wedding themed so better get that creative juices flowing and use what you can. I like how it pushes you creatively and I love the soft look and feel of this card, but let`s be honest, its another thing on my wish list😂

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you liked my card. If you are into Copic coloring, make sure to share it with us over at the Copic Norges Facebook group.

Boho wedding card

 Hi everyone,

I`m excited to share this boho inspired wedding card with you. Not your typical wedding card but it fits the couple perfectly and nothing beats a personal card, right?

My inspiration for this card was a dream catcher that I first intended to use. But I wanted to get more contrast and at the same time calm down my focal point since my pattern paper is rather busy. So when I found the heat die from Spellbinder in my heart I thought it would do perfect as my dreamcather-ish center. I glued down some feathers as they would hang down and all my paper layers are distressed around the edges and glued onto cardboard between the layers to get some dimension and interest.

Lastly, I printed out the couple`s names and the date. I was debating on whether or not to add any bling or more embellishments but opted to keep the design clean only tying a small twine bow to play even more on the dream cather theme. The papers I used are from P13 "There is no planet B" 6*6 paper pack.

I love how simple jet finished this boho weddingcard came out.

Cool Dude - mini slimline card

 Hi everyone.

Today I`m sharing a mini slimline card I made as my inspiration for the Polkadoodles challenge blog. We where asked to make a "back to school" themed card and here is my take on it.

As my focal point I used this little Cool Dude digistamp and as a bonus you get some great sentiments and three digital pattern papers to go with him.

For my background, I applied Distress inks in salty ocean and faded jeans with a soft blending brush. Then using the same colors using a heavier hand I went over a stencil on top. To finish up my background I added some splatters of water that I dried up with a paper towel. Love how it turned out.

I colored this cool little guy up with my Copic markers. Here are the colors that I used:

Skin: E000-00-21-11-04
Hair: E11-13-15-18
Pants: G99-94-21
T-Shirt: E15-18, Y35-38
Beanie and shoes: W5-7-9

Purse card

        • Hi everyone

Today I have a fun different card to share with you that I made as my inspiration for the Polkadoodles challenge blog this week. I made a purse card for my son`s grilfriend`s birthday using the absolutely beautiful digital papers and pre-colored images of the Flower Meadow Collection. I kept my embellishment really clean and simple, letting the design and the papers be the star of this purse card. I love the classy looking pearls and bling though.

If you haven't tried to use digital papers before then go check them out because you are in for a treat. I`m always amazed at how well printing at home turns out. I print my digital papers on my non fancy Canon Pixima printer using 120 gsm copy paper. I just used HP color choise 120 gsm that I got from my local bookstore.

I started with a 8*11" card stock. On the 8” side score at 0.50” and 7.50”. Turn your paper and on your 11” side score at 3.25 and 3.50” and again at the 8” mark. Cut away the 0.50" fold on both sides on your top and bottom flaps only leaving them in the middle piece. I used an edge die on my flaps but you could also just taper the egdes. Having these small flaps will make the purse look more finished and neat at the edges when closed.

I used a strong magnet for my closure so the purse keeps nice and closed. On the inside I created a little tuck space for a tag to write my personal message on. You could easily add a gift card in there as well. Since we were on vacation traveling, I just printed out a picture of the gift I bought her. The sentiment I used on the inside is from the Winnie Daisy messages bundle.

I think this turned out so cute and will be doing different versions of this purse card in the future. I hope this got you inspired to create yourself a happy day crafting too. Go share and play along on the Polkedoodles challenge blog.
