Summer loading - Copic colored card

 Hi,

Today I have a fun summer themed card to share with you. We are enjoying real good summer weather at the moment and are taking the opportunity to go swimming as much as we can these days. We also have the last few days before our summer holiday so we`re  really loading up for SUMMER😎🌞

For my focal point I used Coconut digistamp from The Paper Shelter and I think she is perfect for a summer themed card. I just love the summer vacation and the sea and sun vibes I get from this cute digistamp.

I colored her with my Copic markers and the colors I used are:

Skin: E000-00-11-13-21 and R22 for blush

Hair: E43-50-57

Bathing suit: RV000-10-21-23 and BG09-11-13-18

Bag: Y32 and E23-25

For my background I used one of the stunning images from the cards sheet from Stamperia Blue dream collection. If you`ve been following me on Instagram you know I love this collection and I have used it several times on different projects. I used the backside of the image this time, its the side without the cat since I didn`t want the background to be too busy for my colored digistamp.

To embellish my card I used some Wild orchid craft flowers and some dots that coordinates well with the colors of the pattern paper. To add my finishing thouches I used my Sakura white gelpen to add highlights to my colored image aswell as on the pattern paper that I used for my background.

I`m entering this card to:

Beautiful Orchid flower slimline card

 Hi,

Today I have a beautiful Orchid flower slimline card to share with you. I just love how the Copic colored Orchids really pops against the black cardstock.  A simple yet very pretty card design.

The image I used is Elegant floral trim I belive from Aurora Wings stamp. I couldn`t find this exact digistamp on her Etzy shop anymore, but I`ll link to her shop where you can find lots of fun and beautiful images to color up yourself.

I used my favourite coloring medium- my Copic markers to color these beautiful Orchid flowers.
Colors used: For the Orchid flowers   RV10-55-63-69
A little in the flower center  Y11-13
                                                 Stems  YG17-25-67
As always a used my white Sakura gelpen to add some highlights at the end.

I added some gold acrylic paint splashes and some halfbeads and bling that mached the gold.
The sentiment "klem" means Hugs and is a older die from kaBoks.

I`m playing along again this week at Simon Says: Flowers | (simonsaysstampblog.com)

I hope you liked my card and that you got inspired to create yourself a happy day crafting too.

Reach for the moon - Mixed media art journal

 Hi,

Today I have a mixed media art journal page to share with you.

This last week Simon Says Stamp monday challenge was Sun, moon and stars and that is a theme right up my alley as I love all three of them, and most of all the stars. ⭐

I wanted to play with my new to me Dylusions ink sprays for my background. I then spritzt on some water through a star stencil and blotted off the excess water with a paper towel. I also did the same with a  compass stencil but that didn`t show up as much at the end. I wanted to darken the edges and some parts of my page aswell to make it darker and more like a night sky. I used Distress Ink in Faded jeans and also a bit of Black soot. Then I added some white splashes to mimic the stars. I totally love how my background turned out this time.

For my focal point I used this sweet stamp from La La Land crafts that I colored with my Copic markers. The dies are also from La La Land and I got them in a club set years ago. The sentiments is from the same stamp set and I just cut it apart into strips to add them how I wanted them on my page.

The Copic colores I used are : Skin E 000-00-11-13 R20
Hair T1-3-5-9 and V09-06(or 05?)-01-000 and a bit of light yellow for
the reflection from the stars but I cant remember wich one, sorry :)
Dress E21-23-25 and I went over with E02 to add more of a pink tone.
I used V91-93-95-99 for the rest of the dress.

I used Wink of Stella over the cut out stars and the star on her headband but you cant really see it on the photos. Added some details with a black pen and my white Sakura gelpen.

I so happy with how this page turned out and I hope you got inspired to create yourself a happy day crafting too. Its so giving to just enjoy the prosess of creating something.

Pinwheel shaker card for a special friend

 Hi,

Today I`m back to share this fun pinwheel shaker card that I made for a special friend who turned 50 πŸŽ‰ I had such a fun time creating this card for her.

For my pinwheel I actually first made it with a different pattern paper. I`m on a mission to use up some of the beautiful pattern paper that I already have. There will always be beautiful "must have" paper collections out there.... Same goes whith embellishment. So instead of just hoarding I try to make use of what I already have. So I first made one using the White Blossom from A day in May collection by Pion design. They always come out with the most beautiful and usable papers πŸ’— But after I glued on my shaker element I wasn`t completely satisfyed with how the green glass beads in my shaker matched the green in my paper, and as I said- this card was for someone special so I wanted to make this one perfect. So I ended up tearing it apart and using the paper "Sea Breeze" from Kaisercraft Blue Bay Collection insted and I think they matched perfectly. I also made my pinwheel a tad smaller, cutting my paper to 6" instead of 6,5" like I did with my first one.

For my shaker element I used Spellbinders nesting circles and cut out the back for my shaker using the bigger of the two circles I wanted to use for my card. Then I nested the smaller size inside and cut out a circular frame 8 or 9 times and glued them on top of eachother. Then I used the biggest circle for my acetate sheet and I had some silver mirror cardstock that I used for my last layer to finnish it of neatly. I also cut out 50 from the same cardstock using some number dies from an older La La Land club kit and glued it on top of my acetate. Before gluing on the back of my shaker element I filled it up with small glass beads in two different greens, some shaved ice, distress glitter and a bit og gold glitter. I also put in some sparkley little things I found. Then I left it to dry without moving it to much around just to let the glue dry completely.

For my stem I used a paper straw and put in a wooden bbq stick that I glued secure with my hot glue gun. Then I tied 2 bows of white seambinding and I also tied a bow with some white string and glued everything down with my glue gun placing each bow on top of each other. I embellished my pinwheel with some white roses and rosebuds along with some green leaves, all from WOC.

For the back I glued on 3 squares of papers using both side of the patteren paper making each layer smaller to show off the paper. For my last layer I used white cardstock to write my personal message on.

I love how this turned out and I hope you got inspired to create yourself a happy day crafting too. How about making your own pinwheel card?
