Unicorn Cheer shaker card

 Hi everyone,

I`m so excited to share this cute and fun shaker card I made for this weeks challenge over at the Polkadoodles challenge blog. The theme is, as always Anything Goes, so make sure you pop over after you read this blog post to get lots of more inspiration and to join in on the fun.

This Cheer Unicorn made me smile thinking of my sons girlfriend, so I just had to have this one. Not only is she coaching cheerleading, but she is as sweet, fun, kind and bubbly as I imagine a unicorn would be.

For my card base I used Simon Says Stamp Twinkling Stars embossing folder to add some interest and make the card look even more cheerful. I cut out a scallop circle from my cardstock before using the same dies in two sizes cutting out a ring in black glitter foam sheet to frame my shaker opening. I printed out the sentiment from the same Sparkeling Unicorn collection in the black/white edition, and used it as the background for my shaker elements. I made sure to glue some sequins and some sparkly bling around the sentiment before adding the rest of my mix so that everything doesn`t fall to the bottom in my shaker holding the card upright.

I colored this cute unicorn with my Copic markers and these are the colors I used:

Skin: T7-5, W1-0, E41, R20-000

Hair: B21-23-24

        Y00-11-13-17

        RV42, YR00-000, R0000

        BV000-00

        RV11-55-66

        BG000-11-15

Shoe: T5-7, C1-3, R42

White Sakura gel pen

She got a couple of sweet blossoms in her hair and some tiny Star dust Stickles dots here and there, and my card is done.

Shaylee - Copic and card

Hi everyone,

Today I have the most exciting news to share - I`m joining the amazingly talentet ladies over at the Copic Marker Norway DT! You know I love my Copic`s and I`m so honored and thrilled to join in on the team.

This months optional theme is  #153 Yellow/Orange, but as always on Copic Norways challenge, anything goes, but if you follow the challenge theme you get an extra entry. I have colored up the sweet fairy Shaylee from Art by Miran from her Etzy store. Organge is one of my favourite colors, so I really enjoyed this month`s theme.

To make my colored image really pop, I decided to go with a clean card design and mat the image on black cardstock to really make it stand out. I run my white cardstock in an old embossing folder from Cuttlebug to add some interest but still keep it clean. I kept my card base in black, and the size of this card is slightly bigger than an A2 card. The beautiful colors and the butterfly is from Prima.

Copic colors used:

Skin: E000-00-21-11-04, RV42
Hair: W3-5-7-9
Eyes: B21-24-29
Dress: E13, Y11-15-17 og YR00-02, RV42, R35-37
Wings: E13, Y11-15-17 og YR000-00-02 and white gel pen
Sky: B0000-000-21, Y000-00-11, YR0000-000-02
Bushes: YG03-11-67, G94-99

I also added clear Wink of Stella to the wings to make them sparkle even more.

Men Garden Gnome - easy fun fold card

Hi everyone,

Today I`m sharing my latest card for Polkadoodles DT team and today it`s all about fathers day.

In Norway we actually celebrate fathers day the second Sunday in November, but many places like in the USA and UK they celebrate fathers day 16.th Juni this year so here is some inspiration for you. Make sure to check out what the Polkadoodles design team has made for this weeks challenge.

For this card I decided to use this fun little gnome gardening. I used the digital bundle Lawn Mover Gnome where you get lots of extra digital items to use on your card.

I wanted to build a cute little scene so I decided to make a side step fun fold card that I decorated with a few images from the bundle that I colored with my Copic markers. I printed out a few trees in slightly different sizes, and did the same with the pots with plants. Next I fuzzy cut all the images I used befor I glued them on to create my scene, adding pop dots on some of the elements. My sentiment is also from the same bundle. The pattern paper is from the Gnome men gardening digital papers.

Copic colores I used:

Skin: E04-11-21-00-000

Beard: W5-3-1-0

Outfit: B99-97-34-32,  E44-43-42-41

Lawn mover: R89-27-24-22-20

Grass and trees: G28-14-07, YG03, E29-25, R27

Pots: E97-25-23-21

Romantic card

 Hi,

Today I’m back to share a card I made for a colleague’s daughter Confirmation. I also made the placements cards so I wanted this card to have the same look and feel with matching colors and embellishments.

I just love how this card turned out and I was so happy to gift the card to my collueage as a little somthing as a thank you for ordering the placementcards from me!

I started applying modeling paste on the beautiful stencil from Finnabair keeping it diagonal. The card front was glued to a white card base leaving a small boarder. Then I added some beautiful lace appliqué. I cut out the die Triple Tear S4-490 from Spellbinders and popped it up by gluing thicker cardboard on the back. This beautiful horse topper is just perfect for any horse loving girl, and I got this clip art from NightingaleCraftery on Etsy and just printed it out at the desired size. You want to make sure you use a thicker copy paper when printing something like this. I use HP Color choice.

I added some crochet flowers and opposites I made a large flower cluster in different sizes. I also added some pink seam binding ribbon and twine. Some flat back pearls to add my finishing thouches.

Here’s a peek at the placement cards, ready to print and glue on the names.

Into the woods - Art Journal

 Hi,

Today I’m sharing my latest art journal layout that I made with minimal products since I brought it with me as I was traveling last week. I already shared this on my IG so I could play along with the SSS art journal challenge that week but didn’t get a chance to publish it on my blog before now.

The inspiration for this double page art journal was the phrase “and into the woods I go to lose my mind and find my soul”  The last couple of years I have enjoyed and used hiking as a way of self care, exercise and adventures with my dog and also with my sons. I love how quiet my mind goes looking out from a nice view when we reached the top. Norwegian nature sure is beautiful 🤩

So back to the project, I worked in my stone paper journal from Stamperia and I first applied thin white gesso with a cheap bristle paint brush you typically get in a hardware store to get a streaky finish as my base. Next I applied Dylusion paint I blue and turquoise with baby wipes to get a very transparent color coat. Than I stamped randomly with a script background stamp around the pages. Since I was traveling by plane and couldn’t take lots of fluids with me I did this at home. I also printed out the flowers that are a free Digi paper from Maremis small art.

On my trip a sat down enjoying and relaxing fuzzy cutting the flowers and gluing them down. Then I wrote the phrase and my page was done. I forgot my white gel pen and my black doodling pen at home but I really had fun crating this pages on the go and that’s the main point. I don’t typically use my hand writing on my pages, and the marker I used wasn’t the best, so I might have another go on a page using the same sentiment some day only because I love the phrase so much.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you got inspired to create yourself a happy day crafting too.

Hugs,

-Christine💮
