Hi,

So today is my last inspiration for Polkadoodlesthis year and I made a Christmas card using Door wreath Bella Christmas bear from the Bella bear collection.

Merry Christmas to you all, and I look forward to share new projects with you next year.

Besties - Fun fold featuring the Ruby collection

 Hi everyone,

It`s time for a new challenge over at the Polkadoodles challenge blog and I`m excited to share my card with you today. The DT inspirational theme for this weeks challenge was friendship using images from the Ruby collection. The timing for this theme came perfect for me since one of my closest friend is born in August.

For my card I used two images from the Ruby collection, flipping one of them so the direction of the girls standing together came out right. I placed one of the images slightly overlapping the dress of the other to make it more natural looking and more pleasing to the eye. The digistamps I used are Ruby Oo-la-la and Ruby Frou Frou and as usual I colored them up with my Copic markers.

Copic colores I used, listed from light to dark:

Ruby Oo-la-la:

Skin: E000-00-21-11-04, R20

Hair E21-25-49

Outfit: BG10-11-13-49   (I went lightly over with BG 70-72 to mute down the color)

           RV32-34

Ruby Frou Frou:

Skin: E000-00-21-11-13-04, R20, RV42

Hair: 53-43-57-59-49

Outfit: B32-34-99-39

           RV32-34

I made my card into a pop up Z- flod card and at the pop up I used the sentiment Besties that`s from the Winny daisy sentimet bundle. Perfect for my card!

I hope you liked my card and that you got inspired to create yourself a happy day crafting too.

Why don`t you head on over and join in on the fun over at the Polkadoodles challenge blog this week. Thank you for stopping by.

Cool Dude - mini slimline card

 Hi everyone.

Today I`m sharing a mini slimline card I made as my inspiration for the Polkadoodles challenge blog. We where asked to make a "back to school" themed card and here is my take on it.

As my focal point I used this little Cool Dude digistamp and as a bonus you get some great sentiments and three digital pattern papers to go with him.

For my background, I applied Distress inks in salty ocean and faded jeans with a soft blending brush. Then using the same colors using a heavier hand I went over a stencil on top. To finish up my background I added some splatters of water that I dried up with a paper towel. Love how it turned out.

I colored this cool little guy up with my Copic markers. Here are the colors that I used:

Skin: E000-00-21-11-04
Hair: E11-13-15-18
Pants: G99-94-21
T-Shirt: E15-18, Y35-38
Beanie and shoes: W5-7-9

Gnome fishing

 Hi everyone.

Today it`s time for a new challenge over at the Polkadoodles, and as always the theme is anything goes. I had lots of fun creating a scene with my little gnome fishing at the lake. If you follow me, you know that I`m loving the Gnome for men collection and I have used several of them in the past. To really make the colored scene the star of my card I kept the design clean, just backing the image on some black cardstock to frame it before I glued it on a white A2 card base.

I had fun with lots of markers this time. Here are the Copic markers I used:
Skin: E000-00-21-11-13-04
Beard: W1-3-5
Hat and bag: YG03-95-97-99
Outfit: YG91-93-95-97
Shoe: W1, T7, YR04-18

Sky: Y00-11-13-15-17, YR68
Lake: B41-32-34, Y00-11-13
Riverbank:21-23
Grass:YG03-63, G94-99
Dragonfly: BG01-09
Chair: E35-37-29

I really enjoy practising on these little colored scenes on my cards lately. I hope you like it and that you got inspired to create yourself a happy day crafting too. Grab your favourite coloring medium and enjoy some stress free "me-time".

Unicorn Cheer shaker card

 Hi everyone,

I`m so excited to share this cute and fun shaker card I made for this weeks challenge over at the Polkadoodles challenge blog. The theme is, as always Anything Goes, so make sure you pop over after you read this blog post to get lots of more inspiration and to join in on the fun.

This Cheer Unicorn made me smile thinking of my sons girlfriend, so I just had to have this one. Not only is she coaching cheerleading, but she is as sweet, fun, kind and bubbly as I imagine a unicorn would be.

For my card base I used Simon Says Stamp Twinkling Stars embossing folder to add some interest and make the card look even more cheerful. I cut out a scallop circle from my cardstock before using the same dies in two sizes cutting out a ring in black glitter foam sheet to frame my shaker opening. I printed out the sentiment from the same Sparkeling Unicorn collection in the black/white edition, and used it as the background for my shaker elements. I made sure to glue some sequins and some sparkly bling around the sentiment before adding the rest of my mix so that everything doesn`t fall to the bottom in my shaker holding the card upright.

I colored this cute unicorn with my Copic markers and these are the colors I used:

Skin: T7-5, W1-0, E41, R20-000

Hair: B21-23-24

        Y00-11-13-17

        RV42, YR00-000, R0000

        BV000-00

        RV11-55-66

        BG000-11-15

Shoe: T5-7, C1-3, R42

White Sakura gel pen

She got a couple of sweet blossoms in her hair and some tiny Star dust Stickles dots here and there, and my card is done.

Men Garden Gnome - easy fun fold card

Hi everyone,

Today I`m sharing my latest card for Polkadoodles DT team and today it`s all about fathers day.

In Norway we actually celebrate fathers day the second Sunday in November, but many places like in the USA and UK they celebrate fathers day 16.th Juni this year so here is some inspiration for you. Make sure to check out what the Polkadoodles design team has made for this weeks challenge.

For this card I decided to use this fun little gnome gardening. I used the digital bundle Lawn Mover Gnome where you get lots of extra digital items to use on your card.

I wanted to build a cute little scene so I decided to make a side step fun fold card that I decorated with a few images from the bundle that I colored with my Copic markers. I printed out a few trees in slightly different sizes, and did the same with the pots with plants. Next I fuzzy cut all the images I used befor I glued them on to create my scene, adding pop dots on some of the elements. My sentiment is also from the same bundle. The pattern paper is from the Gnome men gardening digital papers.

Copic colores I used:

Skin: E04-11-21-00-000

Beard: W5-3-1-0

Outfit: B99-97-34-32,  E44-43-42-41

Lawn mover: R89-27-24-22-20

Grass and trees: G28-14-07, YG03, E29-25, R27

Too Cute 🐝

 Hi,

It’s time for a new challenge over at the Polkadoodles challenge blog. This week I chose to color the Too Cute Bee digi stamp in a lovely pastel cloudy sky, and I think he just turned out super cute.

For my card I used an edge die from an old La-La-Land craft club kit to give one of the card side a shaped edge down. I glued down a strip of paper on the inside of my card to make the edge pop out more.

Copic colors I used:
Sky:
Y000-00-11,
YR000-00,
RV42
R000
V000-01
BV000-00
BG000-11

Bee:
Y11-13-17
W5-7-9
R24

I had written down some of the colors for the sky previously. Unfortunately I just can’t find back to the video I watched that time to give credit to the one who came up with it. Anyway when coloring something like this you would look for the lightest or very light colors in the desired color family then add in a lower number light mid tone to get som depth and definition.

I hope you liked my card and that you got inspired to create yourself a happy day crafting too.

The pattern papers are from the Gnome for men Music Record printable pattern papers. If you are looking for something to use for a masculine card, you should check out the Gnome for men collection. There are so many fun and cool images both precolored and images ready to be colored with your favorite coloring medium along with matching papers and sentiments.

Absolutely the best mom ever

 Hi everyone,

Today I have some really exciting news to share. I`m so happy to have joined in on the Polkadoodles design team! I have been loving to play along on their challenge blog for a while, so why don`t you head over and  play along too?

For this weeks challenge I have made two cards. Mother`s Day is around the corner in many European contries and also in the USA, so here is some inspiration for you. For my first card I chose this cute Butterfly Tree Fairy and colored her up with my Copic markers. For my pattern paper I used three different sheets from the Alcea Hollyhock Flowers bundle.

This was actually my first time using digital papers, and I must say I really like to use them. Not difficult at all. I printed them with my non fancy Canon Pixima printer on 120 gsm copy paper. I just used HP color choise 120 gsm that I got from my local bookstore. What I like is that you can scale your paper to size befor you print it or you can choose to scale the paper bigger than you actually need and the pattern on your paper will increase all depending on how big you want your pattern to be. I believe the paper is originally designed for 8*8 inch printing, but for most part I printed the paper to my desired layer size.

The sentiment is from Spring Flower-Mothers Day-Friend sentiments bundle.

Copic colors I used:

Skin: E04-11-21-00-000, R20
Hair: E49-59-44-43
Outfit and wings: BG49-13-000
Shoes: W5-3-1
Butterflies: R05-22-30-11 Y00-11
BG49-13-000-0000 Y11-00
YR:02-000
Plant and Leaf: E49 G99-94 YG03
Pot: E43-44
Ground W5-3-1

To make this fun fold card I followed a tutorial from Wendy Lee on Youtube

My second card is a personal one, this is the card I made for my mom`s birthday earlier this month. I found this super cute and versatile digital stamp from Polkadoodles Winnie - Missed You a while ago and just had to have it. So I have been saving it`s first time use for this card.

The pattern papers I used are from the Pretty Winnie Daisy collection. The sentiment is from the same bundle as my last card, Spring Flower-Mothers Day-Friend sentiments.

Copic colors I used to color up my image:

Skin: E04-13-11-21-00-000, R20
Hair: W7-5-3-1
Outfit: R89-85-83-81                                                                                                  B99-97-95-93-91

Skin 2: E13-11-21-00-000 R22
Hair 2: E29-25-23-21
Outfit 2: G46-43-21                                                                                                        B97- 95-93-91

I decided to make a box frame card to frame this lovely image and sentiment. Since this will be a hand out card, I didn`t worry about the 1/4 inch bulk of the frame. If mailed, I would sturdy the envelope with some thin cardboard or make a small box to go with the card.
